How to use a Gua Sha

How to use a Gua Sha!

Pronounced "gwah-sha," gua sha is an ancient Chinese practice that's meant to improve circulation, relax your muscles, and improve blood flow.

When using the Gua Sha on your neck, use the inward curved side of the tool, sweep up the side of the neck from the collarbone towards the jawline. When you reach the jaw line, use short, sharp pressing motions. Repeat this sequence before moving to the opposite side.

To use the Gua Sha on your jawline, put it on its side, use the ‘top of the love heart’ to make sweeping motions across the jawline. Start at the chin and move the tool upwards towards the ear. Repeat this sequence before moving to the opposite side.

For an eyebrow lift place the smaller curve of the ‘love heart’ underneath the eyebrow and the longer curve above the eyebrow before suing sweeping motions following the shape of the eyes out towards the hairline. Use gentle pressure.
